House Republicans won't commit to Flynn investigation

WASHINGTON — As Democrats called for further investigations following the resignation of Gen. Michael Flynn over conversations he had with the Russian ambassador, House Republicans refused to commit.

"I think we need to get all of that information before we prejudge anything," House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., told reporters Tuesday.
But Ryan did applaud President Trump for cutting ties with Flynn.

"National security is perhaps the most important responsibility the president has. I think the president made the right decision to ask for his resignation ... you cannot have a national security adviser misleading the vice president and others," Ryan said.

He said that as soon as Flynn "lost the president's trust," it was time for him to go.

Hence, an investigation.

I'm beginning to think that there's some sort of language barrier between Democrats and Republicans. Maybe the GOP should start distributing pocket dictionaries instead of pocket constitutions.
