Youre Gonna Need a Bigger Broom
Hey, Republicans, let’s talk turkey. Let’s put aside the worn-out talking points, the ridiculous rhetoric, and the endless – and utterly absurd – excuses for the unmitigated disaster that is the Trump “presidency”.
Your boy, Trump, has been presidentin’ for less than a month, and has managed to insult our allies, create havoc with his short-lived Muslim ban, botched a military mission in Yemen, signed executive orders he admits not having read, lied repeatedly about everything from how many people attended his inauguration to crime statistics he apparently pulled out of his own ass.
He continually presents “facts” that any citizen with access to Google can debunk within seconds, and seems oblivious to the idea that they can – and do – avail themselves of such knowledge.
He has shared highly sensitive materials with dinner guests as though they were party favours. He is reviled not only at home, but internationally. He is the butt of every late-night-show monologue, and is a global laughingstock. He has been compared to Hitler, Mussolini and Sadam Hussein on a daily basis.
He can’t read – no less comprehend – intelligence briefings unless they are pared-down to a few dumbed-down sentences. Mister “astute businessman” actually had to ASK whether a strong US dollar is good or bad, and had to ASK what our current treaty with Russia is in the middle of a phone discussion with Putin.
Despite his insistence that he is working to “put America first”, he continues to send ALL of the manufacturing jobs of his brand-name goods to “cheaper” offshore markets. In the face of what he insists is a growing threat from worldwide terrorists, he spends his time “tweeting” about his daughter’s clothing line, bad reviews of his hotel restaurants, and SNL skits.
But wait – there’s more.
Trump’s cabinet appointments have placed people in positions where they can wield power over departments they themselves have admitted they know nothing about. His most prominent spokes-mouths, Kellyanne Conway and Sean Spicer, have persisted in promoting “alternative facts” (as though such a thing exists), while calling actual facts “fake news” – as though those actual facts aren’t easily available to anyone with access to the internet.
And now we have the Flynn debacle – a “trusted advisor” who suddenly became “untrustworthy” weeks after the Trump administration had been warned of his untrustworthiness.
Grow a spine and just admit it. Your boy is an unmitigated disaster on every level, and by every measure. There is not a single thing he has done thus far that hasn’t proven to BE a disaster. He has held our allies up to ridicule while praising our enemies. He has lied repeatedly about everything from illegals having cost him the popular vote to terrorists flooding into the country (purely coincidently from nations he doesn’t have any business interests in).
The truth is that if you persist in trying to sweep-up the shit your boy is leaving in his wake, you’re going to need a MUCH bigger broom. The stench alone has become overwhelming, and the trail of turds can’t be ignored.
My humble advice: Get out now while the gettin’s good. Cut your losses and move on. You’ve fucked-up royally by nominating, supporting, and electing this Idiot – own up to it and hope that by the 2018 midterms, the voters forget that you put a disastrous, stupid-beyond-belief, and woefully incompetent DISASTER in the Oval Office.
Somehow, I don’t think they WILL forget – but that’s YOUR problem, not mine. Eventually, even the brain-dead wake up, look around, and say WTF?
You were obviously too stupid to see it coming – don’t add to your stupidity by pretending the oh-so-apparent disaster simply isn’t happening.
