(7,963 posts)We are only THREE weeks into this mess. I am not sure I can make it to the summer much less to the end of the year with blotus. 4 years.... is just unfathomable.

(348 posts)I can't be the only one.
In some respects, the day feel like they are flying because there is just so.much.news. On the other hand, it feels like the orange menace has been in office for YEARS. Our nation simply can't go on like this. I have to believe even people who don't pay attention to politics much will get sick and tired of the chaos.
Meanwhile, on the right, Hannity is blaming the "alt-left" for framing Trump. That's the talking point. It's the Obama hold outs. It's all our fault that Flynn was corrupt and caught!

(16,829 posts)I am glad to go to work each day where everyone avoids talking politics.
We have no progressive radio in my area, so I listen to music in the car.
I manage to miss mainstream media news.
So I can get my political news in small doses at chosen times of the day, and even that feels like too much some days. He's not a jobs creator - he is a chaos creator.

(7,963 posts)I can't imagine having to sift through our propaganda machine on top of everything thrown our way. That might send me over the edge.

(7,963 posts)From the campaign to now. I was exhausted and couldn't wait for the elections to be over. Never thought he would win. And now THIS. Ugh!!
You're right. It feels like an eternity already and we haven't even hit a month. Whether people who don't normally pay attention to politics take notice, I am not sure. But I DO see people that were never political, are rising, organizing, and planning like never before. The women's march lit some fires, for sure. I take solace in working on a local, grassroots level now with my fellow resisters. It helps me cope with all this madness. I hope you find your peace in this chaos.

I hope I'm wrong and all the rats go down with him.

(31,261 posts)If Trump goes down or if Trump and Pence go down, a Democrat will likely need to be installed as Vice President for the country to avoid enormous disruption. If it is shown that Trump and Pence colluded with Russian Intelligence to corrupt the election and they are removed, Paul Ryan won't be able to name a republican as his Vice President without all hell breaking loose.

This is one of those times. He's less than one month in office, shit is hitting the fan and their strategy is to assert that what's important is that someone tossed shit at the fan? That's so juvenile that it's making things worse.
I don't know what he can possibly say to us. Lie, deny or resign. I don't care at this point. The inevitable is waiting for him at the end of this saga. But he can't expect guys like Spicer to clean this up. I expect that any minute now Flynn will be spilling his guts.
