I just noticed something weird about Russia Today's spin on the US-Russia-conflict.

First: Russia Today operates by strategically leaving out information until the story fits the narrative. That being said...

I have noticed that Russia Today keeps lamenting how Trump and his toadies are under attack for wanting a better relationship with Russia. The good guys in the US are the ones who want a better relationship with Russia, the bad guys are those with a hostile stance towards Russia.

So far, so good.

Except...

Russia Today NEVER mentions that Russia wants a better relationship with the US.

When it comes to whether the relationship is good or bad, somehow all of the responsibility is on the US.
I have read dozens of RT-articles, and I have been occasionally reading them for a long time, but I cannot remember a single instance where RT reported that Russia had done something with the intent of improving the US-Russia-relationship.

For a good relationship between the US and Russia, the russian government is somehow deemed irrelevant by Russia Today. It's only the actions of the US-government that count.

Rs can be mean spirited, vile, hateful lunatics, there is NEVER any expectation that they reach out or even don't act like children.

It is only when Rs are in power that you hear the word bipartisan.

That was the message from a lot of the MSM. Now it's up to the D's to "Make Amerika Great Again" so our so called president will succeed.

Whose playbook are they using?

I'd expect a Russo-centric viewpoint in Russian media. I'm sure Russians view tensions between the two countries as All Our Fault. We do the same in reverse.

last sentence is wrong. We DON'T do the same. We instead talk about ways to get along better with them, but they don't. Sounds like an abusive relationship.

The state-funded English-language channel was this week warned by U.K. regulators for its Ukraine coverage

Pussy Riot’s Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina, in London for a week-long visit, have spoken out against Moscow’s English-language TV channel RT, formerly known as Russia Today.

In an interview with The Guardian newspaper, the two band members said that those in the west who consider the channel an alternative source of media should be wary.

"Obviously it’s good to have all voices on the field. But leftists in the west should realise it’s in no way a leftist channel," claimed Alyokhina.

"It’s budget is more than any Russian domestic channel. People should watch it realizing it’s Kremlin propaganda," she added.
