Fox and RW radio are already telling them that this is Obama and Hillary's fault, and that Trump is just a victim. I think that if the RW media told them to welcome our new Russian overlords, they would be at the port cheering them as they came ashore.

Right wing radio hosts and politicians say he is, why the heck did he not take their guns, take over Texas, send every to FEMA camps though his Walmart tunnels when he was president...? Did Obama just gain this power after he left office?

I know a few people from my high school who support Trump, and they are in denial or just sputtering crazy stuff that seems completely out of context. I know that it's dawning on them that 1) reality stars don't make good presidents; and 2) he really, really doesn't give a rat's ass about improving life in small town America, but it's clearly a difficult time.

I'm not a kick-em-when-they're-down kind of person in all cases, so I'm just backing off completely with them. Note: I have no problem with schadenfreude or gloating over people who knew full well what they were voting for and either didn't care or were glad.

Because he was going to kick out the evil, brown Mexicans and Muslims. They don't care about how much Trump will hurt main street and the middle and lower classes, so long as that wall is built.

They are either enlisted military or just victims of the economic realities of the loss of manufacturing jobs. They are the ones I'm just not going to engage with.

The well-to-do and well-educated person I know who voted for him is just so anti-abortion she wears blinders (but her family rails at her enough that I don't need to).

He speaks to that idea of the repressed and victimized white male. As well as the so called feminization of men and the idea of strong powerful women as threatening. He speaks to the venom and hate that used to be hidden in the dark. He is the dream of that fanbase and a nightmare for everyone else.

I expect when it gets a little lower, even the republicans in congress are gonna start trying to gnaw their leg out of this thing.

If Trump resigned tomorrow, the press would keep investigating and reporting on the things that he has been doing.

My Trump supporting Facebook friends are sharing recipes and that sort of thing. My liberal friends have several anti-Trump posts every day. It will reach critical mass at some point and even the dyed in the wool republicans will realize that he's gotta go.

Until the whole sordid Watergate mess got fully aired, supporters of Richard Nixon continued to support him and deny that anything untoward had gone on in his White House. Nixon's support finally eroded when the evidence of his corruption was staring the American people dead in the eye.

We're going to need the same effort, long and drawn out as it may be, if we are to remove President Trump from office. The evidence of his corruption has to be public and it has to be solid. This isn't going to happen nearly as fast as we'd like it to happen, but there's just no other way.
