Time to retire the "-gate" suffix

Since Watergate, practically every scandal, large or small has been tagged with the -gate suffix.
See here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_scandals_with_%22-gate%22_suffix

The current political scandal is said to be bigger and more far reaching than even Watergate and IMO deserves it's own name.

Thoughts?

It's a tough one to replace though.

Where did Trump stay in Russia?

The watergate is a hotel/residence after all. Dole lived there (he might still).

It requires 2 parts to it so that it can be broken up as a suffix or prefix.

What's the name of Trump's place in Florida where the photos of the 'football' we're taken? That's two words. Mar-a-Lago

The football photos could be the Mar-a-Largo scandal (and the whole flashlight thing). The Flynn scandal could be the Flynn-a-Largo scandal. The hacking of the election could be the hack-a-Largo or Putin-Lago scandal. You get the idea.

I disagree with you. I think it denotes the criminality in a way most people can relate too

I think if we're going to -ghazi it, it has to tie back to Trumplethinskin somehow.

Back in the 1980s conservatives called activists working for a freeze on nuclear weapons "freeze-niks", claiming they were playing into Soviet hands, either as dupes or active agents. Either way, they were undermining national security to the advantage of the Rooskies, the thought went.

The Trumpniks fit that description much better than the freeze movement ever did.

Goldfingers? That's trite, but it incorporates *****'s well known distress about having his tiny fingers made fun of.
