Al Franken is totally awesome!

Living in Oklahoma I am stuck with Lankford and Inhoffe which tells you how far I get when I email them.

I finally decided to email Senator Franken with a point that had not been raised about Trump's Florida travel and how it relates to the GSA rates. I got an automatic reply that puts Lankford and Inhoffe to shame. It is an electronic letter with his electronic signature that, for me, shows like he actually cares to hear from people. I know that I am not one of his Constituents so I don't know if I will get any further personal acknowledgement from the Senator but I feel like at least someone in his office will read my email. Writing Lankford or Inhoffe is always a futile efort.

I have called each one's office about 50 times already this year.
I just hope I am sticking a needle in them someplace

I've left messages for both and talked to their office staff (once--after that the line was always busy or if you chose to leave a message, it just went to dead space). I did get email messages from both that were not tailored at all to my comments to them. Cruz put me on his newsletter mailing list.

So far, I got nothing. However, I wrote a very simple email. Talked about being a former New Yorker but lived here for years, but just wanted to warn him, you know you're being played?

and you get a form letter thanking you for your support, promising to keep up the good fight for the citizens of Georgia, even if your letter said go fuck yourself. It's hopeless.

The only other politician I have experienced who was as responsive was Paul Wellstone.

Sigh.

And now I am represented by unresponsive Trump enabler/apologists in Kansas.

Since I vote in several different States it is a dilemma which State Congress person to choose. What really hurts is all of the Democrats I vote for they still continue to lose.
