Judge rules probable cause to charge Chris Christie Bridgegate

HACKENSACK - A Bergen County judge has ruled that there is probable cause to charge Gov. Christie with official misconduct connected to the Bridge-Gate scandal.

The same judge previously found there was probable cause to let the case go forward, but a higher court judge reversed that decision.

The case then went back to the lower court for reconsideration, and now the judge ruled that the governor could face charges.

Former firefighter William Brennan filed the complaint accusing Christie of failing to stop the infamous lane closures at the George Washington Bridge.
