Jobs locals used to get good wages here but are now taken mostly by undocumented workers:

Lawn mowing
Landscaping
Building Houses
Painting Houses
House Cleaning
Chamber Maid
Store Cashier
Shelf Stocker

Those jobs were decent paying jobs the locals used to have.

The cashier and shelf stocker jobs being union jobs which were also good as entry level jobs and summer jobs.

I started out working as a cashier at a grocery store before going to University and during Summer breaks. I was a landscaper working for myself. My brother was a lawn mower. My friends have all done those jobs.

And the lowest jobs of picking veggies and dishwashing? Also done by friends as extra money with dishwashing where you start before you work your way up to being on the line.
