A Neuroscientist Explains Why Donald Trump Needs LSD

Alternet

It’s no secret that Donald Trump is an egomaniac. That’s pretty much a bipartisan belief. He’s been called a narcissist by more psychologists than you can shake a stick at. He’s obsessed with his TV ratings and crowd sizes, to the point where he will lie to others and possibly even himself about them. In Trump’s world, everything has to be “the biggest” or “the greatest”. If you criticize or poke fun at him, be prepared to feel his Twitter wrath and expect a barrage of vindictive personal attacks. But if you stroke his ego, he’ll praise you, even if you are a murdering dictator with dubious intentions.

Since it distorts his reality, clouds his judgment, and gets in the way of his work as President, Donald Trump’s biggest enemy is his ego.

But what if we could temporarily dismantle that ego, allowing Donald to see the world more closely to how it really is? To see that it doesn’t revolve around him?

Some may be surprised to learn that scientific research has shown this can be done pharmacologically. Through small doses of LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide), also known as “acid,” Trump could put a hole in his ego, deflating it almost instantly. While this suggestion might sound facetious on the surface, in the last few years, the medical and scientific community has fully embraced hallucinogens such as LSD and psilocybin (the active ingredient in ‘magic mushrooms’) as revolutionary therapeutic agents, which create their effects through ‘dissolving the ego,’ or sense of self. By doing so, LSD has the potential to create a sobering and eye opening experience for vain, self-aggrandizing leaders like Donald Trump.

For one reason because they allow you to interact with the actual deities of the universe which are the consciousness of stars and planets and other astronomical entities, something the classical cultures like the Greeks and Romans knew; considering western democracies are largely based on the structures of government from classical antiquity it is a mystery to me why most of us still cleave to the religions of conquest, the knuckle-dragging goat herding abrahamics. Every time I hear the ruse that this is 'judeo-christian' nation or hear 'judeo-christian' culture praised I want to vomit, if that truly was the main influence on our culture there woudn't be so much classical architecture in our capitals, instead there would be tents and huts and various herds of animals grazing freely.

Another reason besides the spiritual (I should add that the whole reason of experiencing the TRUE deities is that one realizes they are about love and none of this depraved child rape/child marriage/child genital mutilation horseshit foisted on the world by the Rape-raham and his descendants) is that the entheogens allow one to retrieve the memories of pain and trauma that have warped many of us into personality disorders...Trump is a classic narcissist which usually points to severe psychological wounding between birth and three years old. The memories are subconscious and entheogens can bring some of them back if they happen late enough in childhood (I think it is after the age of about two and a half when memory is possible). I have had one experience of having a spiritual guardian allow me to experience a memory that happened to me in the crib (sexual abuse). We all have a "guardian angel" or spiritual being who is always with us and if memory for whatever reason is not possible they will allow us to experience their memories of what happened and sometimes what happened to other people in our lives so that we can finally experience empathy for our tormentors and forgive. Trump has the kind of traumatic history, I guarantee, where this is desperately needed however the memories are buried or perhaps even unattainable. His issues with women suggest there was probably a degree of neglect from his mother...common in extreme wealth where children are passed off to nannies and then to tutors and boarding schools.

During the time I was trying to forgive a family memory for some serious crimes these spiritual beings took me back in time several times to allow me to experience the pain and fear that this person experienced as a child and it was pretty overwhelming each time.

Or as Hunter S. Thompson put it "The acid had shifted gears on him; the next phase would probably be one of those hellishly intense introspective nightmares- four hours or so of catatonic despair; but nothing physical, nothing dangerous"

they're not a magic cure-all, nor will they permanently turn a selfish asshole into the Dalai Lama, not without some effort on the part of the person in question...

they definitely won't turn a blithering imbecile into Stephen Hawking.

a certain amount of the raw material has to be there to begin with. While it is conceivable that that level of "aha" "I-opening" experience could conceivably broaden the sphere of empathy of someone lost in a limited worldview of solipsistic selfishness, dislodging a lifetime of malignant narcissism would not only be a bigger undertaking, it truly begs the question as to what, if anything, you would find underneath once the scab of that massive ego was pulled away.
