Senior Republican adviser says something is deeply wrong with Donald Trump

Senior Republican adviser says something is ‘deeply wrong’ with Donald Trump
Comments follow what adviser described as ‘the most bizarre press conference in history’
Rachael Revesz New York @RachaelRevesz 4 hours ago

A senior Republican adviser said there is something “deeply wrong” about President Donald Trump after watching his first solo press conference in office.

"Something is deeply wrong with our president and the country is in danger," wrote Gabriel Schoenfeld, former adviser to Mitt Romney during the 2012 presidential campaign, in an op-ed for New York Daily News.

"The danger will only be averted when the Republican leadership in Congress publicly acknowledges what they and the rest of the entire world already know: America's president is not wearing any clothes."

Republicans are a little slow on the uptake.

I think all the republican farmers/construction/landscaping owners who employee undocumented workers are getting nervous about 45's deportation force plans.

They think Dumpf will deliver their predatory capitalist nightmare.

They don't want to impeach him until their dreams of destroying social security, health care for the poor, food assistance etc.

Plus set up their theocracy.

to their belief structures. They don't give a damn about the US or the majority of the citizens. They function as a cult, and a bizarre one at that and highly dangerous to the survival of the US democracy.

That's what happens when you try to run Government like a Corporation. Corporations need Government to create a legal regulatory framework for them. If USA-Corp is attempting to regulate other corporations - and still make a profit for it's BoD and "shareholders", all we end up with as a nation is corruption, as USA-Corp becomes the monopoly in charge of everything.

is just as illogical as running a business like a democracy.

No CEO would ever allow his business to be run like that, so we shouldn't settle for a CEO in charge of our democracy.

I have been wanting to write a piece about this for some time, but just couldn't make it happen.

The framers of our Constitution never envisioned our government should be run like a business. It has the responsibility of holding our United States together, providing for the national defense, defending the Country should it be attacked with the army it has standing, coming to the rescue of states when they encounter a catastrophic event from which they cannot recover without Federal assistance, for instance, NY after 9/11 and the NO flooding, and collecting taxes. Simple but critical things such as that.

Because of these responsibilities, Uncle Sam is not required to keep a balanced budget. After all, who can predict when a huge problem will materialize out of the blue, one that that threatens the citizens if Federal aid does not jump in and go to work.

Then there is also the issue that many Republicans have said for decades they wanted to shrink the Federal Government to a size small enough it could be washed down the bathtub drain. Looks like to me they have gotten started on that longstanding goal.

IMO shit like that eats on his soul. Trumps afraid to even phone call those countries. Trumps even afraid to meet up with our Military's Families of the killed and wounded. Not even a breakfast meeting for our military Families where he gives up ONE AM of his favorite stupid fox-lies & f(R)iends tv show.

I think Republicans have no one elected or competent for the job to manage that part of the world like SOS Kelly/SOS Clinton. Our progress erodes before our eyes and we'll never recover longer this sham is allowed to continue.

that Trumplethinskin wasn't just sayin' things he promised to do; that not all of his statements and grandiose campaign proclamations weren't just the words of someone hyperbolizing for his alt-right, wingnut base. After actually seeing this guy yesterday in a 77 minute demented Twitter-style rant I think it made everyone who isn't on crack or tweaking finally getting it through their thick skulls that this guy is as fundamentally unfit psychologically, emotionally, intellectually and morally as he was characterized. I think a lot of people actually had that crashing train wreck land in their collective laps yesterday. For those of us who knew the characterizations weren't just hyperinflated campaign rhetoric, this was no surprise, yet it evoked about as much terror as I felt as child every time I heard a distant ambulance siren and started worrying that the nukes would soon be flying.
