Some bombshells might drop on Scott Pruitt next week. The Senate confirmed him anyway.Democrats and environmentalists have put up a stink over thousands of unreleased emails between newly-confirmed EPA administrator Scott Pruitt and fossil fuel interests. Pruitt was ordered by a judge on Thursday to release those emails, which were requested two years ago by a progressive watchdog group under a Public Records Act request.
Those emails could show any number of thingsincluding nothing.
But they were requested in the first place because Pruitt has a history of sketchy emails. In 2014, the New York Times found what they called an unprecedented, secretive alliance between Pruitts office (he was previously the attorney general for Oklahoma) and Devon Energy, one of Oklahomas biggest oil and gas companies.

(1,366 posts)3. Got to get real here with what to expect.
There is nothing that can be in these emails that will force his resignation. He can be caught saying that the EPA is just the Devil reincarnate, that he will take millions of dollars from industry to destroy it, that he was engaged in some sort of satanic rituals, or whatever. The fix is in. Republicans will do nothing, no matter what is exposed. The Democrats can do nothing and we march to our demise. Do not let this email in future thing be believed to be the thing that will save us.

Easy enough to push the fact that they could have waited a few days for the info, and then voted on this guy, but they pushed ahead anyway.
