So easy a woman can use it

I recently cut off my cable and bought a ‘Leaf’ over the air antenna.
One TV channel I'm enjoying a lot is “Buzzr”. A lot of it’s programming are old game shows, many from the 1950‘s such as ‘What’s My Line’, etc.

As interesting as the shows are the old TV commercials used on the shows, some of which wouldn’t go over well today.

One ad I saw today (on a 1957 ‘I’ve Got A Secret’ show) had a woman showing a new model Polaroid camera, saying:

“This new Polaroid camera is so easy, even a woman can use it.
If you can boil water, you can take pictures with this camera.”

and had gotten a taste of independence and a decent paycheck. Those commercials only worked on males because males had been given control over everything. Males decided what should be purchased and males loved those patronizing commercials.

Women hated that shit.

This is what the Republicans want to return to. No thanks.

It was a strange, different world. It was a world I'm glad to see mostly gone.

However, there are those who want to return to the structure of those times. We need to stop that from happening.
