Trump tells rally crowd about non-existent terrorist attack in Sweden "last night"

See the tweets below from NBC's Brad Jaffy and the NYT's Maggie Haberman. Jaffy thinks Trump was confused by a Tucker Carlson interview broadcast last night.

Trump tonight mentioned an incident “last night in Sweden”

There was no attack there last night

This Fox segment?

President talks about a terrorist attack that didn't happen, then seamlessly moves to decrying "fake news"

Instead, they ran Trump's proganda live, uninterrupted with no fact checks. They in essance gave a very valuable in-kind contribution to the Trump 2020 campaign (which this rally was for) by giving Trump national air time.

Why, why WHY?

Trump would consider Maury Povich as a credible source at this point.
