Doesn't look like all the reinforcements worked that well. It has collapsed on the right side. They are expected to get at least six more inches in the next few days. Forecast: http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lon=-121.31074499511715&lat=39.71656959153921

(36,422 posts)What is slowly eroding away is natural bedrock, and a lot of it. They may prove to be wrong, but the eggheads believe the erosion will be slow enough to last through the wet season, when the repairs can start in earnest.

(1,939 posts)are going. That work is on the emergency spillway to the north. The flows over the main spillway are reduced right now so crews can try and remove debris clogging the main channel, at the foot of the spillway. The debris is damming the channel, which in turn is backing up water to the hydro gates so they can't be used. If they can get the hydro gates working at the base of the main dam, then there is another way then to drain off water. The lake level is down 50 feet, good.
