A double Indian female Democratic Presidential Ticket in 2020

Elizabeth Warren-MA/Kamala Harris-CA
This ticket could energize the Democratic base and force Trump and the Republicans in double downing their gender bigotry.
Warren/Harris ticket could win all of the Clinton/Kaine states 232ev plus pick up WI,MI,PA, and FL 307ev

That combination would give an awful lot of people many more reasons not to vote for that ticket.

It's actually naive to even propose such a ticket. Quite frankly, Hillary's loss last year means it's going to be several election cycles before a woman can possibly be at the top of the ticket, and it may be very hard to get one in the second spot.

I'm a woman, despite my screen name, and as much as I'd like to see a woman President in my lifetime, we need to be realistic here. Your proposed ticket would galvanize all those who think women have no place in public life, and all those who still see persons with dark skin as not fully American. That is NOT a formula for winning an election.

As much as I admire and support Senator Warren, and would love to see her as either #1 or 2 on the next Dem ticket, I think it's foolish to suggest her (or Senator Harris) BECAUSE they're women (OR of AA or Native American heritage.)

We need candidates with strong, substantive experience and credentials, AND campaign managers/staff with TENACITY and EXPERIENCE.

Trump was so awful and ridiculous, a lot of people did not vote, thinking Hillary had it in the bag. A Leon Lett moment if you are a football fan.

I could be totally wrong.

The depth of hatred of Hillary was extremely deep, and that's what most of her supporters, especially her most starry-eyed supporters, missed at every step of the way. Nor did she lose because of Jill Stein. She lost because she was widely hated out there, especially by those who didn't vote for her. And a large number of those who did vote for her were still not happy with her as a candidate.

There is a determined core of Democrats who are single-mindedly determined that next time we absolutely *must* elect a woman. That's the mindset that is proposing the above ticket.

What we should be looking for over the next two or three years (and not come to a premature selection of the next nominee) is for a strong Democrat who will genuinely stand up for all of those not billionaires. We need to make our case at every single level in such a way that significantly more people will stop voting against their own self-interest. Too bad we can't get everyone to turn off Fox News.

And I'm not a football fan so I haven't a clue who Leon Lett is, but presumably that reference is meaningful to others who read this.

Republicans hated her, Democrats did not trust her.
