Yiannapolous Needs Help.

I heard about Milo Yiannapolous last year when his sneaky little troll face poked its head out from underneath the bridge during the Primary season. All I read was that he was a tRump supporter, a professional troll, and the "new face of the right". The alt-right to be exact. That was all I needed to hear to know that I didn't care to learn more about him. So, I stopped reading and moved on. I didn't hear anything about him again until this summer. I didn't even know he was a gay man until then either. When I found that out I figured he was one of those people who are part of a minority community that the right uses to make that community look bad. Then, about a week ago he was on Real Time with Bill Maher. I heard him talking about how the LGBT community "Could quite possibly be mentally disabled." As he feels "Quite disabled." My first thought was that he was a very confused individual, possibly dealing with some kind of self-loathing problem. Then I heard the Joe Rogan interview, mind you, this was before last night when it became news. I listened in horror as he described what he experienced as a teenager, and how much he enjoyed it. Being attacked by a priest, his English teacher, etc. The most upsetting was his comment about the parties he attended where "There were some extremely young boys, very, very young." Then last night I read that he was resigning from his position at Breitbart "News" due to a "pedophilia scandal". I listened to the act he played in front of the press. "I made a mistake.", "I'm clearly a victim and I didn't realize it." etc... I think its pretty obvious that this guy should have been in therapy, not editing a far-right news site.

And I think that's one of the reasons why Bannon hired him, in the first place.

I don't know how much credibility you can attach to anything he says, because he says way too much, for effect.

He happily serves Trump and Steve Bannon. He has plenty of time and plenty of money to seek out help for himself. He has spent years of his life making other people's lives sheer hell. He is a shameless self-promoter, a shameless scammer and performance artist (his own fans are often skeptical of his many wild claims about himself, and he never shows an ounce of empathy to ANYONE. His evil minions have ruthlessly harassed many vulnerable people online, and not one of them got any sympathy for having been abused or anything else.

I have zero empathy for him, sorry. In fact he really only started to play the "I was abused" line when it became apparent that he was about to lose his book deal AND be forced out of Breitbart for all sorts of hideous shit he's said and done. In fact he is in a far more privileged position than the vast majority of people he has attacked ruthlessly over the years.

Funny, he's only recently been promoting himself as a "comedian" instead of a political "shock talker," which is how he made his bread and butter. Only recently, when shit started to backfire, did he pull the worn-out, pathetic "I was just joking...you all were just too stupid to get it" joke that is beloved by narcissists everywhere when they are called out for their rampant cruelty. Obviously one can't use the lame excuse of "joking" or "trolling" when it is your entire persona, all of the time, and when you are supported by people (who pay him very large amounts of $$$) who fully support your pronouncements.

His antics remind me of another vicious RW MSM and social media troll we have here called Katie Hopkins (though at least she's never resorted to the "it was just a joke" defense, which this deluded coward has), and he may have seen the success she's had in the UK and decided that was his best career move once he lost his Telegraph gig and his attempt to set up a blog ended up in lawsuits and bankruptcy.

Nobody should waste any sympathy on him, whatever his mental state - if he is suffering from something clinical, pandering to him will just make him worse.

I can find plenty of room for condemnation for him, but even more for those who've promoted him because they thought he fit into their agendas. I can happily ignore him. I wish others would en masse, then he'd just fade away into well-deserved obscurity.

and that pretty much displayed all you need to know about him. What a trolling loser. I like Joe, because he will talk to anyone, and even if they are a complete nutbag like Alex Jones, he'll have 'em on and just shoot the shit with them.

Maybe Milo needed therapy but look- he made a grownup, conscious decision to be a nasty troll. He's not so crippled that he just can't help himself and has no control what he's doing. He knew what he was doing, he's pretty self aware. At any rate, he just didn't have the financial means to get away scot-free like Trump could. He has to backtrack now.

Maybe his situation can be used as an example of what self-loathing can do, and the dangers of trolling. "Don't be like this guy, kids"
