Trump Likely To Vist Mar-A-Lago Every Weekend Until May

CNN is reporting that businesses near Mar-A-Lago have been told Trump will not be at Mar-A-Lago next weekend because he will be preparing for his speech before a joint session of Congress. However, on March 4, he will resume his weekend trips and will return to Mar-A-Lago every weekend until May.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/02/20/politics/donald-trump-mar-a-lago-palm-beach/index.html

So, at $3 million a weekend, taxpayers could end up paying $27 million for Trump's trips if he stops going at to Mar-A-Lago at the end of April. If he stops at the end of may the cost will rise to $39 million. All of Trump's travel to Mar-A-Lago in the first 4-5 months of his presidency will likely cost taxpayer between $37-$49 million. $49 million would be roughly half of the estimated cost of President Obama's vacation travel over eight years.

Will Trump be going from Washington, D.C. to Mar-A-Lago every weekend from January to May every year? I assume during his fourth year he will be campaigning and that will keep him from going to Mar-A-Lago every weekend. However, if for his first three years in office he repeats this year's January to May schedule it seems like the cost to taxpayers will be $111-$147 million.

And I'm also sure he has all weekends marked as Mar-a-lago.

The man knows full well how to indulge very whim he has.

Don't they have a place in CT somewhere? It seems like someone who is a "rich" as he is would have numerous personal properties all over the globe.

4. Seven Springs

Trump also owns a grand private summer retreat in Bedford, N.Y., with 60 rooms, two servants wings, 15 bedrooms, three pools including one cased in Italian marble, a bowling alley and 230 acres of land.

He originally purchased the property, known as Seven Springs, for $7.5 million in 1996 with a view to transforming it into another Trump-branded golf course but ultimately dropped the plans. There are currently approvals to build 14 other homes on the estate, but Trump has not made use of them so far.

Instead, the Trump family uses the property as a retreat from the city, riding ATVs, going on hikes and fishing. Trump also reportedly allowed Libya's Muammar Gaddafi to stay in a tent there while attending the UN Summit, when no hotels would have him.

The main house, which was built by late Federal Reserve Chairman Eugene Meyer, dates back to 1919.

And yes, hurricane season begins June 1st and the weather outside (golf courses) is really unpleasant with the humidity, bugs, etc. The winter this year has been missing for most of the south so the summer like weather could easily start in April or May. Here in Pensacola our high today is headed toward high 70s and that is many hundreds of miles north of Palm Beach. So tRump probably won't spend too much time there after May.

They wanted us to start thinking in terms of tRump being in Palm Beach rather than DC...guess they were hoping we wouldn't notice it costs a bazillion dollars every time he jaunts down there. They threw up the smoke screen that he is "working" while he is there, too. Does the cost include bringing in the various people he has met with and interviewed at Mar-a-lago?

Children and families can be flown in for camp experience. and their parents will be given respite services.

Or it can serve as a boarding school for teenagers who are US citizens but whose parents have been deported.

Certain staff needs to be checked out on First Aid, CPR, and make sure they aren't pedophiles.

Property likely needs adjustments for ADA compliance. I read the 45 hates ADA compliance requirements.

were told at the last minute uterus that half of them would have to stay home to save on wasteful travel expenses.
http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2017/02/10/514479451/epa-halves-staff-attending-alaska-environmental-conference

...."This is one small example of how EPA will be working cooperatively with our staff and our outside partners to be better stewards of the American people's money," Ericksen said.

Some EPA staff whose plans to attend the conference were revoked would have come from Seattle or Washington, D.C. — but Eilo said others are based just blocks away from the downtown Anchorage site.

Eilo himself was an EPA enforcement officer when he founded the Alaska conference two decades ago. He says this is the first time he can recall this happening. While he understands the impulse to review travel spending, he says the cutbacks also raise a red flag.

"There's a lot of uncertainty among folks here at the forum," Eilo said. "There's concern about the tribal programs, there's concern about how we're going to address things like climate change in the next upcoming administration.".......
