That is one SERIOUS Town Hall going on in Metairie!

CNN showing a very rowdy, angry Town Hall meeting with the GOP rep. Metairie is a suburb of New Orleans (they'd kill me for saying that, LOL) and those people don't PLAY.

That godawful bullshit being put out by the Despot about it being professional agitators (60s flashback!) is ridiculous. I know these folks. They're pissed and they want an accounting, and they know crap when it's shoved down their throats.

I'll give him credit; he's there and is taking it.

Do NOT let them get away with saying this isn't a genuine citizen uprising. Simply by not ignoring it the GOP gets to distance itself from the Despot and if they do they imply agreement with him. I think they're realizing that this will be their downfall.

The reason the Despot is so hot to dismiss media is to control this stuff. They don't realize that we ARE media these days.

Everybody who lives there likes to say they are from "New Orleans." They aren't, and it isn't the same at ALL.

What is Metairie like? It is one HUGE strip mall. It just screams "Republican."

Sorry to offend any nice people who live there, but I never understood the appeal at all. I think most people who live there do so because "it's WHITE!"

They live in what USED to be a very rough area of New Orleans. . . They live in the "Irish Channel" between Phillip and First on the river side of Magazine Street. It used to be scary enough that taxi drivers wouldn't even take me to my house; they would make me get out on Magazine Street and WALK! It has totally changed after Katrina, as that was one of the only places in they city that didn't flood.

I think my distaste for Metairie has more to do with some obnoxious Republicans I knew when I was still living there, but it has been many, many years now. . . . Of course I can hold a grudge for a very, very, very long time when it comes to Repubs!

Is it the Trumpie voters who are now howling about not losing their healthcare, or is it Dems who were always against the GOP?

Cause if it is the former, why did they vote for him, then?

I mean... can you insult voters any faster than that? "We KNOW they're paid agitators from somewhere else because the crowd was so big!"

In other words: "We KNOW the voters in Whatchacallit County are usually un-involved and lazy and don't complain!"
