We Owe Trump a BIGLY Debt of Gratitude
Since the “election” of the Idiot-in-Chief, We the People are getting our mojo back.
We are inundating our elected reps with emails, letters, faxes and phone calls. We are showing up at their offices, and protesting outside of their homes.
We are attending town halls, and are making our voices heard – loud and clear. We are refusing to be lied to, refusing to swallow the usual political bullshit, refusing to have the crimes and misdemeanors of Trump and his cohorts whitewashed or swept under the rug.
Across the nation, we are organizing and we are mobilizing. We are offering sanctuary to our undocumented neighbours. Some are going so far as to hide illegals in their churches and their homes. We have made it clear that we will go to any lengths necessary to protect the most vulnerable among us, and will not be deterred from that mission. We have made it clear that we do not and will not perceive those who come here seeking a better life for themselves and their children as criminals.
We are rejecting the idea that immigrants pose a threat to our jobs, our way of life, or our national security. We are rejecting the concept of “a scapegoat” being identified and vilified as being the source of our country’s ills, the riddance of which will cure all that ails us as a nation.
We are generously donating to organizations that safeguard our basic rights and freedoms, and groups that fight tirelessly to protect our environment and ensure that our children inherit a world worth living in.
We are making it abundantly clear that we will not be silenced, we will not be cajoled, we will not be manipulated into accepting things we find abhorrent, or forced to go-along-to-get-along by a so-called “president” whose policies are the opposite of everything our country stands for.
Thanks to a complete moron being installed in the White House, We the People are on the rise. We have been woken from the sleep of apathy, and we have been energized to fight against the clear and present danger he represents.
So hats off to Donnie-J. We are forever grateful for his ability to galvanize those who oppose him, and everything he epitomizes.
The skill with which he has brought together decent, patriotic Americans – albeit unintentionally – continues to strengthen our resolve and encourage us all.
