Muhammad Ali, Jr. detained in Florida airport; questioned about his Muslim religion.

And he's not the only black traveler who's received "extreme vetting." -- see second link below.

Muhammad Ali Jr., the 44-year old Muslim son of the world-famous boxer who died last year, was held for several hours at Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Feb. 7 when he and his family returned home from a trip to Jamaica.

Ali Jr. is a United States citizen and was carrying a U.S. passport upon his return. He was travelling with his mother, Khalilha, Muhammad Ali’s first wife. She was allowed to enter without incident because, according to the report, she showed agents a picture of her with the three-time champ.

Ali Jr. was reportedly held for hours and questioned about his religion before he was allowed to enter the country.

The incident is the second strange detention of a person of color at FLL since Trump's crackdown on Muslim travel was announced in January. On February 1, a prominent ex-BuzzFeed reporter, Stacy-Marie Ishmael, said her Trinidadian husband was detained for three hours at the airport and was asked where "he got his name." Ishmael declined to speak to New Times about the ordeal.

Likewise, CBP's Morfa told New Times February 2 that the agency could not discuss that case.

But Mancini, the former prosecutor, says immigration officers asked Ali Jr. for his full name, date of birth, and religion. They held him for 30 minutes, then separated him from his mother, and took him to a small room. An officer returned a half-hour later and again asked him his religion, Mancini says. He was held for about an hour more before being released.

"What right does the United States have to inquire about somebody's religion when they enter the country?" Mancini says. "There was no other basis for a secondary inspection. This is an instance where the ban has been enforced even though it has been thrown out. The government is still trying to find grounds to keep Muslims out."

Too many times at the slop bucket, too many times being told no.

This ain't normal, but it is still America.

This is what starts it off, someone famous gets 'detained'. I keep reading Obama did the same thing, nope...he did not ban a religion!!

TRUMP has effectively BANNED or made it intolerable for Muslims to live in America.

Did Bush do that?

No, actually Bush right after 9/11 said;

"These acts of violence against innocents violate the fundamental tenets of the Islamic faith. And it's important for my fellow Americans to understand that.

The English translation is not as eloquent as the original Arabic, but let me quote from the Koran, itself: In the long run, evil in the extreme will be the end of those who do evil. For that they rejected the signs of Allah and held them up to ridicule.

The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam. That's not what Islam is all about. Islam is peace. These terrorists don't represent peace. They represent evil and war."

Get it yet lurkers?

Trump stepped right into IT! Now back to your fake news!

If under orders, who gave them? If rogue, arrest the agents now.
