Is the wall going to be totally on U.S. land or is it straddling the line?
We can't afford the damn thing anyway.
My guess is they will use Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid monies to help pay for it.

(5,477 posts)In many cases, the physical barrier at the border is a mile or more into US territory, with the landowners needing to go to the other side of the wall/fence to access their property.
The government will be spending a LOT of money on easements and buying up property to compensate the current owners.

(30,737 posts)First, they have to get money for it. That hasn't happened yet. They are getting nothing done.
Then, if they start to build, it will be a constant source of protest and disruption.
