Won't that make them dig deeper to see who can break the big story? News folks understand that the Trump administration has something big to hide.

3. Because in Trump's reptilian mind, by excluding certain media, he will mollify and blackmail

them into *not* reporting on his Russian antics. Here's how: theoretically, say, The New York Times is systemically excluded from press briefings, then obviously it can't report on them. All the other media have this information, but not The Times. Readership is supposed to drop off as readers search elsewhere for the information they want. Less profits for The Times. Stockholders are upset. Management is upset. New marching orders: make nice with Trump -- or else.

But it hasn't played out like that. If anything, Trump has created his own worst nightmare with reverse psychology: excluded media has re-dedicated itself to journalism versus commercialism. Investigative reporting. Facts that FOX won't share if it has them at all.
