By the way, this is the same asshole who narrated Carly Fiorina's "demon sheep" ad.
Actor Robert Davi Calls For Jailing Reporters Who Spread Lies About Virtuous Political Candidates Like Trump
By Kyle Mantyla | February 25, 2017 10:51 am
Speaking today at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), actor Robert Davi called for the passage of laws that would jail reporters for spreading false information about the very best of our American heroes, like President Trump.
Davi claimed that in Ancient Rome, anti-calumny laws made it impossible to spread false rumors or lies against upstanding and virtuous political candidates and called for such laws to be enacted in America.
Lets go back to Ancient Rome, David said, because if such laws existed today, we would see more men like Donald Trump and Mike Pence running for Congress or the Senate or the presidency and more fake reporters perhaps going to prison for the very lies they make up to commit cruel character assassination against the very best of our American heroes.

Funny, these idiots don't realize that if these laws were in effect under Obama's two terms, we would be much better off because they wouldn't be able to bog down the administration with bullshit lies.

(19,066 posts)This is normal in the Republican Party. And Trump has been suggesting journalists go to jail for a long time. It's a matter of when not if they start throwing journalists in jail for this administration.
People still don't see that we are dealing with a full fascists dictatorship at its early stages. Wait until Trump launches a war and some journalist criticizes it, he'll go after one to make an example of. It is going to happen.

(2,900 posts)While I am adverse to giving them the web traffic, it helps to gauge the pulse of the incredibly dangerous elements that exist within the Republican Party.
There are numerous OpEds published which openly call for the press to be criminally held with sedition against our nation.
I do not feel that you are wrong in your own opinions that jailing the press is not far from where we stand now with this administration.
These calls for incarceration of the press are being made every day by constituents of these politicians, and i personally feel that they are not falling upon deaf ears.
A truly terrifying moment in history that we are watching unfold...

(19,066 posts)He's talked openly about "dire consequences" for the press who dare oppose him. And he's talked openly about changing the legal system so they can be punished.
Everything we are seeing from this fascist regime right now will be ten fold more extreme when the wars come. Trump is cruising for a major war and he'll manufacture an excuse to invade someone soon enough. People lost their jobs for daring to question Bush in the build up to Iraq. Trump will throw people in prison for opposing his invasions, mark my words. The real goal for them though is public executions for dissidents and those considered enemies of Trump (and thus to the government, enemies of America).
There may not be a political solution to these monsters.

(50,271 posts)I would love for him to explain how Trump is an "American hero." When his chance came to serve he cried "bone spur" and went skiing. Since becoming POTUS, he casually signed off on a dangerous military mission over dinner and didn't bother to go to the Situation Room to see if it was successful, opting instead to tweet about a television show. A Navy Seal died. Civilians died. Expensive equipment was lost. "Hero" is the very last word that can be used to describe Trump.
