So is the president of the United States sane?

Last edited Tue Feb 28, 2017, 05:24 PM - Edit history (2)

Words such as “Ignorant,” “In over his head,” “Uninformed,” “Incompetent,” and even “Unhinged,” are not sufficient to explain the words, deeds, behavior and overall demeanor of Donald Trump.

This is a man who doesn’t understand that a single utterance from his mouth can make the stock market rise or dive. He has no concept of how his words can affect international relationships. He is clueless as to how a president’s statements can produce worldwide confidence or terror. And then there’s the unsettling fact that he has access to the codes that can launch America’s nuclear arsenal.

We’ve heard countless therapists and psychiatrists explain to us that it’s impossible to analyze someone from a distance. And yet …

What sane president wins an election (via the Electoral College) and then spends countless hours, days, months of his time trying to convince Americans that “voter fraud” cheated him out of three million votes?

What sane president blames the previous president of sabotaging his popularity ratings and “leaking lies” about him?

What sane president tells Americans that the main stream media is dealing in an “alternate reality” and lying about him on a daily basis?

What sane president calls rallies to once again celebrate his “great victory?”

What sane president appoints a white supremacist, and the editor of a well-known hate blog, Steve Bannon, as his chief of staff?

What sane president appoints Jeff Sessions, a lifelong racist/bigot, as Attorney General; the chief law enforcement officer of the United States?

What sane president would lie about graduating at the top of his class from Wharton, when he didn’t even make it to the 56 names on the Dean’s list?

What sane president holds the judiciary branch of government in contempt, and literally and publicly demeans their rulings?

What sane president praises Vladimir Putin and abruptly hangs up the phone on the Prime Minister of Australia?

Why sane president elect would have lied about seeing “thousands of cheering Muslims on rooftops” in New Jersey on 9/11?

What sane president would lie about the unprecedented crime rate in America (which has actually gone down over the past eight years)?

What sane president would refuse to publicly condemn today's unprecedented rise in anti-Semitism?

What sane president would be so mentally unstable as to spend so much time bragging of his own "greatness," lying of his "unprecedented victories," crowing about his "infallibility," or dwelling on his own "magnificence?"

There’s really no need to continue. Google will give you a hundred more lies and delusions that no rational person would ever say, or believe they could state as "facts."

So to get to the bottom line here, I really don’t care how many analysts and psychiatrists say that Trump can’t be analyzed from a distance.

Whether the word “nuts,” “unbalanced,” “crazy,” or “insane” is used, how can any rational human being possibly claim that this deranged man should continue to hold the office of President of the United States?

And if the answer is "No," only the Republicans in congress can do anything about it. I guess we already know how that will turn out.

There are a number of medical professionals that want to tell the people that trump is as close to being mad as anyone they have seen that's supposed to manage any business, let alown the Presidency

They are going to wait for the right time towrope the bomb!.

Perhaps their ethics prevent them from doing so. If so, I respect them for their silence. Yet, I can't help but wonder if there is some point at which the safety of millions outweigh professional ethics? After all, we're talking about a man with his finger on the "nuclear button."

Some pros are speaking out. 2 were on The Last Word late last week. They felt strongly about the "duty to warn."

While simultaneously blaming "the other side" for all of their problems and holding them to a completely insane and almost psychotic double standard that they know they'll never live up to? It's not just Trump - it's that whole fucking party to blame for this mess. They're his enablers. I mean if Hillary or Obama had been doing even a single thing Trump and his cohorts are doing, they'd go fucking apeshit! But no they just blame the left for their problems like the bullies they are.

has been for, at least the past 30 to 40 years.

Democrats, on the other hand have, for the most part, "played by the rules." And the result is that America may now be screwed well beyond repair.

Republicans won't impeach the madman in the White House as long as they can pass a large portion of their despicable agenda which screws most Americans. And if Trump won't do it, they will go ahead and impeach him, and then let Pence push through the legislative chamber of horrors that awaits us.

not a fan of either but at least they're making sense about Trumprussia invest. And Issa lately, too.

Some, though, IMO are linked to Trumprussia and won't lift a finger b/c they may be outed, Nunes, Barr and McTurtle.

I don't talk about this much but Trump reminds me of a my father. My father was hard working, completely uneducated, could be gruffly charming and had a forceful personality.

He was also a dedicated racist--whose "evolvement" on race consisted of saying things like There's blacks and then there's finger-poppin n*ggers" He used to tell my sister and myself there "weren't any real men left"--he considered himself, his type, the last of the "real men". He had no use for anyone who struggled in poverty or failed to accumulate some sort of wealth "they ain't got nothin" was one of his favorite insults. He held a grudge until he felt he was in control, or had power or whatever person or institution insulted him (he hated cops and Unions equally--long story, but he broke laws when it suited him)

While he of course failed to garner anything like the wealth of that asshole Trump, he worked hard enough in his life to break 6 figures.

I used to wonder what was wrong with him--a narcissist? Sure. A bully? Yup. Yet he moved through the world successful by American metrics, although I have never figured out how one man could cause so much damage to other people. Simply put He was the ultimate a product of a racist and sexist patriarchy--just as Trump is.

the question of knowing "right" from "wrong." I find it difficult to believe that Trump even understands the words "right" and "wrong" except as they apply to his own existence, wants, needs and well being.

Especially not when there's literally hundreds of hours documenting it. It's just unethical (and even that might just be because of bad PR for the APA).
