I think this immigration bill is the straw

His republicans may finally decide to come to the conclusion that he is insane. He goes from getting ICE beefed up and going door to door looking for tan people they can abduct to letting illegals hang out and have a path to citizenship. Honestly, I think this is insane and I'm against the way things have been going so far under comrade trump. It's like he flipped the switch completely if he goes for this path after letting the things go on like he has. Normal people don't come to such a swift change of policy. I'm not trying to complain about changes if it stops this insanity, but it kinda proves he is a puppet missing a hand up his ass. Maybe Bannon has the flu.

They can drag him off kicking and shrieking in a straight jacket into a padded van for all I care, then announce that he has developed a severe form of cancer that needs prolonged treatment that will make him incapable of fulfilling his duties to save his pride and his pension. I just want him gone.

Pence will have policies nearly as bad but at least he's got an idea of how government works and won't stomp on as many international toes or cross domestic turf boundaries.

Perhaps his little CEO advisory board buddies pulled him aside and said hey drumpf*ck...

Let's not be deporting all these people that are productive members of the workforce... as CEO's/Mgrs Have already invested time & $$$ in training the current workers... bad fiscal move to have to invest a 2nd time .... provided you find a replacement... just because of some silly campaign rhetoric......
Especially DACA /Dreamers... most are obtaining/have obtained their college degrees....
Again, bad fiscal/business policy to get rid of them just cuz they were not born here...

We actually have a lot of legal visa holding professionals, but I strongly suspect these guys on the lower end of the totem pole are not legal. It is a dirty job they do. Not really complicated, but dirty. I was talking about something with their supervisor and he said he was being made to learn their language by our management. Honestly he was kinda perturbed at the language lesson thing, but he said they were the best workers he had ever had. He didn't care if they were illegal. We appreciate hard workers. We still have plenty of jobs for anyone willing to work.

You add to that South America, Central America, Mexico, Muslims worldwide, china and most of Europe. His immigration ban will guarantee that the flow of the intellectuals from a variety of those locations will pass up on a USA life.
The work force will suffer and the brain drain will impact the country enormously. He basically gave the finger to the world and I think the world is going to move on from the United States. He must be panicking because I see the hit we are going to take and I don't run a tech company or a hospital or an orchard.
The India shooting and his disastrous handling of same is just beginning to be felt. We are in for a shit show of epic proportions.

For a while now the comments sections are like separate right/left worlds. There are articles and opinion pieces that the comments are 90% left leaning, and on other articles almost the opposite.

This article has more right/Trump comments. Responses go from "fake news!" denial, to hang ringing, to he's handing the election in 2020 to the dems, to maybe this is the pivot. Fascinating to read. But the first time where I pick up some dissension/anxiousness from the right sided commenters.

cynically it seems like Trump voters are a big loyal block. But they aren't. To read the WaPo article and comments with minutes of reading your post/thread - cracked through my cynicism. I went back later and found a much greater mix of right vs left posters. But still the Trump voters responses were varied, interesting, and some fit your OP perfectly.

Good call.

They took things too far when they started fucking with our allies, and imposing this illegal, immoral, wrong, and unconstitutional travel ban, and this immigration bill is a page right out of Hitler's playbook. That party is done. It's dead to me. We need to vote every single last fucking one of them out of office for allowing a traitor to run the helm.

They're not critical thinkers. They can be fed misleading excuses and all-out lies by FOX and Rush about his decisions and policy, and they'll buy it hook, line and sinker. He has no base ethics or morality to tie him down. Whichever way the wind blows and benefits DT is the way he rolls. And what's worse is his fan club will continue to give him a pass. Bet on it.

The GOP? That's another story.
