They found one! Voter fraud!

He voted for...who?

"Oh that's different..."

Ex-con charged after illegally voting for Trump

OCONTO COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) – An ex-convict from Oconto County is charged with election fraud after he illegally voted for Donald Trump in the November election.

Court documents show 24-year-old Michael Noffke has a recent felony on his record for theft. When he left jail, he signed papers acknowledging he couldn’t vote. But he tells police, he had no idea what he was doing was against the law.

Noffke is a felon, out on parole, which Wisconsin state law says disqualifies him from voting.

1. He's not serving an active prison sentence so he should not be denied the right to vote.

He may have voted for the wrong candidate; but we should support his right to vote. These ex-felon disenfranchisement laws are undemocratic at their very core.

There is absolutely zero point in taking away this fundamental right other than politicians trying to game the system for their own benefit.

It is a prime example of terrible governance.

Governments should not have the right to choose their own voters.

5. IMHO, even prisoners should be allowed to vote

Non-violent drug offenders and even serial killers should be allowed to vote. They're still citizens.

I just checked laws in Germany, and pretty much every citizen is allowed to vote. Voting rights can be denied for election-related crimes (e.g. if you bribe someone to vote for your favourite party, or if you count incorrectly on purpose as an election helper, etc) and for "political" crimes like treason, preparing/promoting wars of aggression, libeling the President (lol), bribing a member of parliament or working as a spy for a foreign country.

Voter fraud charges should be brought against him, too.

]The couple appeared to lead a normal life, both registering as Republican voters. The state Board of Elections website shows that James Manion registered in 2001 and voted in several elections including GOP primaries through 2006.
