The DEM response should have been by Elizabeth Warren (or an equally passionate progressive)

Just saying....

Someone who represented the current and future direction of the party, vs a "former" governor.

We need kick-ass inspiration and courageous push-back to the fascist prez.

In the face of such incompetent, idiotic, supreme stupidity from the narcissist in chief - why was one of your fine choices NOT picked?

This is the (((resistance)))!!!

It did not feel like the Kentucky gov was reflecting that kind of energy.

a legitimate reason for picking this Governor, again I did not watch his response.
I really think it could be because the Dems are watching their backs, due to the Repigs sticking the knife in.

and they are out there.

The massive protests every day around the country means that the "base" (us and many many newly awoken) are already energized so why have someone preaching to the choir? Whereas the choir might be expanded a bit in this instance.

and I think it's good explanation. Let's face it, I do enough screaming, ranting and raving for everyone. Warren's passion would've been great and there are other Dems who could fire back. But this calm, soft spoken voice came though. I listened, and I think a lot of people listened. He said good things about Democrats to people who just might listen.

Rebuttal speeches are notorious for being a disaster, don't pick a rising star, this was a good pick, no harm no foul
