No, I didn't watch last night, but I scanned through a lot of the reactions by much of the media.
All it exhibits, to me, as a complete misunderstanding of how power and narcissism work.
We've been in these situations in the world before. It is a seeming flaw of human beings. Kind of like an "inability to walk and chew gum at the same time" - but more in line of an utter inability to learn from history, and to misguidedly think that people who CAN NOT CHANGE do so because they are buffed up and made shiny and actually get through prewritten sentences without totally blowing up.
I don't buy it for a minute - neither should anyone who cares about all of our futures.
The Van Jones reaction made me the most ill - he should know better.
I really, really would like to think better of us as a species. But...until evidence is proven otherwise, I remain pessimistic about our ability to read, comprehend, analyze...and learn.
It does make one wonder, doesn't it????

(23,365 posts)Again in MSNBC and CNN. I know I shouldn't be but in recent days at least some of them have been telling the truth and I'd come to expect it. I'm back to ignoring ALL of them. Again. Fuck the MSM. They are complicit in this mess.
