Americans Are Not Stupid; CNN's Poll Was Rigged

Any DU members who are, as a result of the CNN poll, shaking their heads and wondering how America became a place of stupid people can stop being upset. Your fellow American are not stupid; CNN just rigged its poll. In the fourth paragraph of the story about the poll, CNN points out that the survey group leaned Republican.

"People who choose to watch a political speech such as this one tend to be more supportive of the speaker. In this case, the pool of speech-watchers was about eight points more Republican than the population as a whole."

So, now those high numbers make sense. You would expect Republicans to agree with Trump's policies. Yes, Republicans would think Trump's policies would put this country on the right path.

I have noticed that most of the MSM is (are? not sure which one to use) now afraid to call a spade a spade. They are handling Trump and his gang with kid gloves. Why are they afraid?

I suddenly hear much less about the Russia ties. A boring speech full of platitudes and lies gets praised. And they are back to normalizing him. About the only negative thing I heard lately was his low approval ratings. If the media is silenced, then our country is in big trouble.

I hate how we are deluged with polling data by these companies. Polling data without any real effort at interpretation is not something particularly useful to a population ill equiped to understand what the numbers mean. Not every poll is news worthy, but people gobble it up.
