we're paying for control. We've been buying friends since WWII because most of our global actions don't earn them. OK - Marshall Plan maybe but otherwise...what are we doing globally to consistently EARN friendship. Dems come in and it improves, Repubs come in and it wains. The only constant is that big f'ing army.
Sorry - it's a day where I am astounded by the stupidity of a large portion of our population. It's not new but last night (and this morning's reactions) just rekindled a latent ember.
