(48,958 posts)anything not self promotional - which serving his constituency = hard right politics. He won't resign unless he is forced to.
Heck, he won't even recuse himself (I predict he will hold to this stand despite media pressure as the result of this damaging story), from being in charge of any investigation of Russian contacts/attempts to effect the US elections. Not going to happen. At some point in the future (could be soon, could be years in the future) this will not only bury him, but will help undermine this administration. But in the near term - his lying to Congress won't hurt him (due to GOP majorities, and his arrogance.)

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
