A special warfare unit flew a Trump flag in public. Now the Navy is punishing its members.

Follow-up to an eye-witness report on DU several weeks ago. Note that the punishment is not further defined.

The sight of a large blue-and-white Trump flag perched atop the lead vehicle in a military convoy was a shocking sight for some Kentucky drivers on the final weekend in January.

Video and photos of the vehicle spread rapidly online, prompting Navy officials to open an investigation after they confirmed that the convoy was from a special warfare unit from Virginia Beach.

... an Article 15 summary punishment, which can result in some loss of pay, but does not become part of the "permanent record".

It's no felony, no court martial, no prison, no draw-and-quartering, no keel-hauling.

As far as infractions go, this one is very minor.

I don't recall seeing any E-4 or below.

Anyway, what these clowns DESERVE is a big chewing out, nothing more. If anything formal is actually done, it's because of the press and pressure from above.

a couple of yahoos show a Trump flag. Article 15 (aka Captains Mast) at most. Chew their ass, maybe restrict the for a while. Doesn't rise to anywhere near the level of a Felony (Courts Martial) level offense.

Show me where they violated the UCMJ in a fashion deserving of such penalty.

Article 15, maybe. Even that is going overboard, but they did piss off the wrong people.
