This cascade of information that has been coming down about the Traitor and all his pals in high office is just making me sick and more than a little scared. Are the Reputinans going to be disloyal enough to quash all this stuff out of shear lust for power? It's all so completely awful and unbelievable, I just want to cry. I love my country and the thought that we may have lost it is keeping me from falling asleep tonight.

(1,002 posts)Power and MONEY before Country. It makes me want to take to the streets like back in the days of the Vietnam war protests.

(284 posts)No concern or respect for the citizens. They just care about their bottom lines. Hillary won the popular vote, yet they're behaving like they have a strong mandate. It's been really hard for me to accept that my country is run by people who don't care about me.

(1,002 posts)They're taking the country and using it to fatten up their already bloated off shore accounts in Cyprus. I HATE them! I really, really do.

(1,002 posts)It does make me feel a little better. With everything that's going on, it's just been so hard to keep up with it all. I'm going to call up the offices of my Colorado Congressional Delegation tomorrow and demand that they investigate the Traitor's Russian connections and support Wyden in his efforts. The Traitor needs to go up in flames once and for all, and the sooner the better!

(9,526 posts)There were 3000 people at that one. He said he doesn't feel hopeless because he has never seen anything like this as far as grass roots passion and he's been in the Senate about 20 years. At least half the people there had never been to a town hall before.
He is totally on this as are many others and emphasized again that this is the single most important thing he is dealing with. He also said McCain is a good ally in all the Russia stuff as far as getting an independent investigation.
I felt a whole lot better after seeing how many people were working on this. Fear happens when you feel alone with it. Do you have any indivisible groups in your area?
Here are some other possibilities:

(1,002 posts)happening in my little rural town. The strength of the response has surprised me because while Colorado is a blue state, rural Colorado has always been historically conservative. There are a number of women's groups especially, popping up. On the day of the Women's March in DC, we had 500 women in their pink pussy caps march here in support. In a conservative little town pop. 8,000, this was huge! They're having another march on Women's Herstory Day, and you better believe I'll be joining them!
You're right about the fear thing. I'm much better during the day, especially when I'm out and about. It's these cold dark nights alone in my little house way out in the farm fields that bring me down.

(9,526 posts)on something else...it is not a good thing to go to sleep with a mind full of scary stuff. Never did like horror movies. I have to very consciously seek out more uplifting stuff to focus on before bed.
