DU lawyers and FISA experts

Would I be correct in stating that it is within the realm of possibility that Trump and/or his fellow gang members were in contact with an individual or individuals who was/were being tapped pursuant to a legal warrant and that is how the revelations of possible Russian collaboration have come to light?

But that is how it was reported with Flynn. The Russian on the other end was the target of the warrant. Whatever Flynn said was serious enough that the call was saved, transcribed and sent up the chain.

Someone posted specifics on DU. My best recollection is, when a foreign target of a warrant is communicating with an American the call is still recorded. Pretty much if nothing of consequence was discussed it gets erased. If something that may be illegal is discussed, it gets booted up the chain of command. If it makes it to the FBI and DOJ, if they deem it illegal or important, now they can get a warrant on the American's phone. The president may be informed if national security issues are involved. Obama may have known that Trump was being tapped. He in no way can order the DOJ to tap his phones. The decision to tap benedict Donald is entirely up to the FBI and DOJ and the FISA court.

may get near the White House. Even years before.

The Comb Over Crybaby would think he's exempt from all of this as he has had a lifetime of ignoring rules and laws or circumventing them.

No one who practices at the FISA court posts on DU no matter what they claim.

Any way I read there is zero evidence that Trump's phone was tapped pursuant to a FISA issued warrant.

if a us person comes on the line, unless they have a warrant to tap that citizen, they have to hang up the phone.
ergo- they had a warrant for flynn.
