A room with all white men? Did someone pose her that way on purpose. The bigotry is showing!

Here's another from the series:
Now why she thought it was a good idea to be an informal photographer is another question . . . but the photo is just checking to see if she got the picture she wanted which, in my experience, is a pretty common occurrence.

(34,111 posts)but capturing her sitting that way in one group of people, but not in another doesn't establish that she never sat that way in a room with white men.
This was one photo out of a series taken when she was using her cell phone to document the event (and check the results), so no - no one posed her that way.
My guess is that she might have chosen to take that particular picture because she had never been in such a large athering of black individuals before and wanted to get her own shot (rather than rely on the press corps), but I don't think sitting to check her photos happened because the room was full of black men - it would have happened regardless of the subject of the photo.
While she certainly looked inappropriate in that photo, it's pretty easy to find what looks like a horrifically inappropriate photo within a sequence of timed shapshots.
We've got enough real stuff to worry about without worrying about a carefully selected photo out of a series of photos that makes someone we hate look like their parents never taught her manners.
