Trump's casinos (at least some of them) lost money and they laundered Russian money besides.
The FBI and other feds have been looking into it, but I guess it's hard to prove unless somebody talks.

Yes it's true that the people of New York know him well after many years of Trump's nuisance lawsuits, BS headlines and other shenanigans. Not many voted for him in NY, except maybe a few counties upstate.
