It looks like the CBP folks are making it more and more difficult for tourists

business people to enter the US. They blocked a Canada-born Canadian citizen of Indian descent from entering the US from Canada for a weekend resort stay and delayed the head of Australia's version of the CIA for a long time before letting him head for the meetings he had here. This seems to be the new strategy of Customs and Border Protection officials at our ports of entry.

To what end, I wonder? India isn't on the list of countries that promotes terrorism, as far as I know, and that woman was born in Canada and was carrying a Canadian passport. Denied! The head of one of our most trusted allies' intelligence agency was delayed for some reason I don't know. WTF?

Now, imagine what it must be like for ordinary tourists coming to visit Disney properties, Las Vegas, NYC, or any of our other very popular destinations for international tourism. What will they do when they hear about such nonsense from our CBP minions at the airports and borders? I suspect that many of them will simply change their reservations and head for other, more friendly destinations.

And how will that affect the economies of American cities that are popular with tourists from all over the world? Anyone living in, say, California is familiar with all of those tour buses full of tourists from all over the world. They're everywhere, bringing people in to spend their money and support the employment of so many people.

Florida, too, is full of tourists, along with New York, Boston and so many other places. You wonder how our tourism and hospitality industry is going to feel about Trump's CBP folks trying to keep all of those tourists out of the USA. It could become a problem, I think, and might even interfere with Americans traveling abroad through reactions to our inhospitable border entry practices.

I thought Trump wanted to bring more overseas money into the US. Guess not, eh?

There were so many Middle eastern people there and other foreigners from different countries very few Americans. Standing in line I heard so many different languages. I talked to a woman in the bathroom who was wearing a burka like thing asking her if she was too hot in it. SHe showed me she was practically naked underneath. She was from Saudi Arabia and July and August are the hottest months In the Middle East so they travel to "the cooler" USA and Los Angeles is a popular destination as well as Disneyworld Florida. HIs ban is really going to hurt these tourist destinations. These tourists also buy a lot of stuff at these parks.

4. Tourists really, really benefit the local economies, for sure.

A lot of employment in areas that attract tourists is dependent on them. Even in smaller communities, really. Yosemite, for example, attracts tour buses by the dozens every week, and they stop in small towns for lunch and even shopping in the local shops. Lots of money is spent at all of the attractions that tourists visit, too. It's about $100 a head for Disneyland, for example, these days. A lot of that money finds its way into the local economies, too. Then there are the airlines and the airport employees and the bus companies, etc. It's a big influx of money into the US, no matter how you look at it.

But, there are many other destinations for tourists from other nations. Many, many destinations. People are going to choose trips that will be fun, friendly and entertaining. Getting hassled by Customs and Border Protection agents is not fun, friendly or entertaining. Everyone who suffers through that is going to talk about it at home, post on their social media, and so on.

It's coming from above and Lickspittle is the man in charge of DHS which controls CBP and ICE! This is being done so Americans become use to it, and will eventually accept it as normal!

The next step will be the rounding up of American Muslims, and Americans will become use to that...

Remember Lickspittle was in charge of Guantanamo, so he's already very comfortable with locking up people for no good reason!
