When you think they can go any lower - something like this pops up

I don't even know what to say anymore. I feel like I'm living in an alternate reality.

Up is Down. Black is white.

My head is spinning right now

They paid good money for those comfy bunks on the slave ships, too, right? Then they happily suffered the slave markets, beatings and worse once they got here. All the while, they were thinking about how great it would be to bring their families to America?

Really...Ben...Really?

Go visit that new museum there in DC, Ben. Spend a long time there, OK? Sounds to me like you've lost touch with history.

"That's what America is about, a land of dreams and opportunity," Carson said. "There were other immigrants who came here in the bottom of slave ships, worked even longer, even harder for less. But they too had a dream that one day their sons, daughters, grandsons, granddaughters, great-grandsons, great-granddaughters, might pursue prosperity and happiness in this land."

I was hoping it was taken out of context . . . but not so much.

Textbook publishing giant McGraw-Hill will rewrite a section of a book after a Houston mother complained that the text made light of the treatment of the slaves that were forcibly brought to the Americas from Africa.

Outrage over the textbook language spread after Roni Dean-Burren posted an Instagram of a text message from her son, Coby. The freshman had sent along a photo from his World Geography textbook that described African slaves as "workers" and "immigrants" ...
