What Are WE Going To Call This Health Bill?.....

The Repugs affectionately gave the Affordable Care Act the nickname Obamacare.

Now we have a chance to hang a moniker on their plan.

Here are a couple of names I've seen being used in some posts here on DU.

1. DonTCare - Don = Donald T = Trump

2. TrumpCare - Just like what they did to President Obama

3. RepubliCare - Hang the blame on the Party itself

I think we should come up with one name that we all use so that it becomes synonymous with their plan? A name that the MSM will pick up and use as well. We want something that will tie their mess around their necks and be - our/the Dems - rallying call to defeat them in 2018 and take back the House and Senate.

I favor "RepubliCare". It's easy to say. It ties the Repug Party to this mess of a bill.

I know that a lot of people will probably favor "TrumpCare". My problem with that is that in 2018 we'll be running against the Repug Party and not Trump. I don't know if it will convey the meaning that we want. And the other thing is I can see that maybe the Deplorables will really like the name "TrumpCare" and as far as I'm concerned - I don't want to give them that.

These are my thoughts. If you have other suggestions - you might want to include them in the thread of this post.

At any rate we might want to take a poll vote on the name and go with that.

I have seen people argue that the bill should reflect the GOP's authorship. It will. It does. Trump is the leader of the Republican party whether they like it or not. Just like President Obama was the leader of the Democratic Party and they attacked the party through him, we have to connect the Republicans to Trump in every way. Trump is the GOP and the GOP is Trump. We need to hammer that home. They chose him to carry forth their agenda and we need to hang him around the neck of the GOP like a giant orange cowbell.

The added bonus is that Trumpcare will be unpopular so Trump will have to do 1 of 2 things, repudiate the Republican/his health care law, or embrace it and the shit storm it will unleash. Either way, if the Democratic party can play this properly (I know "if&quot then it will drag them all down.
