Obamacare will be much more popular after Supreme Court decision.

Unfortunately for the Repubs who want to use it as a driving issue in the election. In my opinion, they are going to be very surprised. Many folks will re-evaluate their opinions on the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) after yesterday's decision.

This is a big plus for Obama and the Democrats. We will see dramatic changes in the polls in the next few weeks and months. Republicans are stepping into a trap of their own setting.

Winning is always better than whining. If you are going to lose at least do it graciously.

I also think it will rile up their base - the teabaggers, for example.

I continue to be stunned that there is a large group from the other side that get excited and energized about the "death tax", even though they will never be close to paying any such tax. They are nothing more than the tools of the wealthy.

Same here - the right words from rush, hannity, boorz will convince they folks that they are getting screwed, even though the bigger picture suggests otherwise.

It is the independents we need to capture and that is where the whining will come back to bite the Republicans.

8. But their only spin is that "it's a tax".

And every poll ever taken on the subject shows that a massive percentage of Americans are in favor of paying more taxes for better healthcare.

As a post down thread points out, quite a number of the inattentive who don't feel like wading into the whole complicated legislation would have been skepitcal about the law because everyone kept questioning it's constitutionality. That question has now been laid to rest by the Supreme Court.

All the GOP has now is the tax argument which Independants have said they don't care about.

4. I think the independents and/or inattentive will favor Obama on this.

They're not really paying attention, but they'll hear that this was a big win for Obama, and that his legislation is constitutional. That's all they'll hear, and somewhere in the back of their minds, they'll likely think, all right, he's OK.

The Rethugs who are throwing two-year old tantrums over this aren't doing themselves any good. So they energize their base. Their base is already energized. They were going to vote against the black guy already, no matter what.

This is a win for Dems.

I agree.

This ruling will have little effect on their base. But it could affect those independents and those in the middle on this issue.

The conservative Supreme Court ruled in favor of Obama over the Republicans. That is the bottom line and a lot of people will take notice.

The subsidies are pretty generous for instance.
