Evidently N. Korea and China say we are about to start a war, so I suspect we will have a war so fuckface can try and take focus off of his treason.

(82,849 posts)President Trump's irrational behavior is not normal, nor is it conducive to good statecraft.

(6,262 posts)Do like Pelley, and the morning show has less fluff than others and not so chirpy. Smarter. Presence of Charlie Rose attracts higher caliber guests as far as I can tell.

(34,195 posts)CBS's morning show used to use a slogan:
"More news, less talk".
I watch it M-F.

(100,068 posts)And the reality is the GOP's recklessness and arrogance is either going to get us all killed, or it will destroy the United States as we know it. There is no good outcome from either scenario. And the Trump administration has declared an all out assault on the free press. He only listens to "news" that kisses his ass, like Breitbart, Infowars, and Fox News. That's quite the toxic mix.

(15,237 posts)Walking on egg shells and appeasing his tantrums will make this irrational behavior more likely to occur. Trump is very impulsive they are not the fault of critics. At the same time no amount of criticism is going to change his outrageous behavior. Irrational not our fault.

(1,387 posts)He uses subtly too much -sometimes he'll offer just a hint of criticism-mainly using body language (the rasing of an eyebrow type of thing)or a slight shift in tone.
I'm glad to see him being more direct.Maybe he figured out that there are a lot of folks who "don't get" nuance.(or maybe he's taken courage from watching other journalists.).Either way it's good to see him up his game.(Bill Clinton absolutely hated Pelley during his presidency because Pelley was so tough on him -must have found his mojo).
Bravo Scott !
