I believe Donald Trump will blow up a bunch of Muslims in Syria and northern Iraq.

I think he will do this soon. Not just a couple of smart bombs, but a major, secretive, attack. By secretive I mean he will not seek prior Congressional input nor approval. In other words the first we will here about it will be after the attack has happened, there will be no lead up. There will be no debate. There will only be picking up the pieces after the event happens.

I feel there will be a couple dozen targets. A few dozen aircraft involved, conventional weapons.

I don't think there will be an invasion. Just large scale air attacks. I don't think it will last long. A few days, maybe a week, or week and a half. Just long enough to rally his base, allow Donald to wrap his self in the flag. And land in fighter jet on an Aircraft Carrier. (No this last part won't happen for any number of reasons, I'm just trying to paint a picture)

His base will be rapturous, because he kills bunches of Muslims. The Stars and Stripes bumper stickers re-appear en masse. Small american flags flutter from automobile windows. And yellow magnetic ribbons adorn backsides of pick-up trucks. And you will be told, 'You're either with us or you're with them.'

This is a familiar story to most of us.

And it will be purely done to increase Donald's approval numbers. I'm not attempting to be melodramatic. I don't say a these things flippantly. I believe this is how team Trump hits the re-set button.

I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

Include more action including troops.
Air campaign has already been ramped up.

And don't forget Al Qaeda in Yemen.

For purely political reasons. Using war as a re-set button. I didnt used to be so cynical. But watching Republicans the past 35 years I cant help to be.

I was wondering if anybody else felt this scenario was likely.

I actually meant the attack will be against ISIS. But like a goof, I didnt make that clear. The attack will come against ISIS in Syria and northern Iraq. Thanks for your reply. It helped me to clear up my thinking.
