is that these inalienable rights, along with the ones spelled out in the Bill of Rights, belong to individual, living, breathing people, not to institutions and not to fertile cells that might or might not become people.

It's why there is so little common ground with them. For them, rights belong to things that aren't human or aren't yet human like corporations, churches, and any fetus. Human beings are left with no rights.
