Kasich: if all you focus on in life is what's in it for me, you're a loser. You are a big-time loser

“There are more and more independents because of the squabbling,” he continued. “What's at risk here to Democrats is you can't turn your back on these people. And to Republicans, you need to invite Democrats in because we're talking about lives.”

Failing to work together to improve America’s health care system, Kasich added, could have dire consequences.

“All this consumption with who gains politically — you know, life is short,” Kasich said. “And if all you focus on in life is what's in it for me, you're a loser. You are a big-time loser. And this country better be careful we're not losing the soul of our country because we play politics and we forget people who are in need.”

I work with the ones who show some forward thinking on issues that play in our favor. That's how things get done. Shut the door to everyone, particularly when the Republicans control the White House, the Senate and Congress and see how far that takes you.

Ryan wants dems to help fix it after it's passed. I'd call it a honey trap but what it does it poisonous.
I actually don't think we need to agree about anything with repubs supporting a treasonous administration. We need to stand back and work for the preservation of our nation.

He is virulently anti Union. He is very pro Wall Street and tax cuts for the rich. He does seem to care more for poor people than the normal republican, I give him that.

Like all republicans, he has blind spots for the "we're all in this together" reality of life.

Which would you choose?

Yes, K is a Repub. super conservative in many ways. I mostly DON'T agree with him. But he has not lost his mind like many of them ...

At least for a while, we need to consider where we draw red lines, and where we negotiate ... and with whom. We need some IMPERFECT PARTNERS. WHY?

100% of "locked out" is STILL ... locked out.

I don't think we SHOULD help save the Reps on health care. They bought this Twinkie, they have to eat it. But we WILL need some of them to help US after they crash and burn on this ... and we need to be ready to put forth a FIXED health care model that has at least some bipartisan appeal ... until we get to the Nirvana of single payer. Don't see that happening in near future nationally.

I DO hope individual states keep after the single payer plan, so that we have labs to prove that it DOES work ... with as much certainty as Brownback proved Conservative principles DON'T work in Kansas.

I agree with the posters above who identify him as a concern troll. He is an evil Republican.

That said, with this new regime, Mr. Kasich should stay out of small planes, have someone taste his food and avoid North Korean women with liquids.
