Most of rural white America will stick with Trump till the last dog dies

I’m a 67-year-old rural white guy from a small town in deepest western Kentucky.

I didn’t vote for Donald Trump. But a lot of Americans in my demographic did.

I’d bet the family’s eight-year-old Chevy Impala that most of them will stick with the president till the last dog dies.

I know the polls say Trump’s in trouble. (The polls also said my choice for president would win.)

The administration is in “meltdown” and in a “perpetual state of chaos” claims Chris Hayes, one of my favorite stars in the MSNBC crown.

“If Rural Voters Were Angry Before, Wait Until The GOP Repeals Obamacare,” predicts the headline on a Huffington Post story by Michael McAuliffe and Laura Barron-Lopez.

I’m also a fan of HP. But I wouldn’t wager a cup of coffee that the Trump yeomanry will revolt if the GOP guts the Affordable Care Act.

Trump has something going for him that is the perfect storm. If he is failing he can blame "the swamp" and his supporters will uphold him. If the swamp fails the people, he will claim he wasn't complicit because he isn't "one of them." His supporters will blame "the swamp creatures." If all else fails, he can blame the Deep State and or Obama, Hillary, Bill, Carter...and his supporters will buy it.

Bottom line his supporters are cult followers that cannot be fixed. They drank the crazy kool-aid instead of the poison kool-aid.

and they don't want nobody givin them no facts either. They love DTs stupid nonsense because it pisses off the Dems. It's like, oh, look what he said or did now. That will really get them. TeHeHe

Even many who didn’t vote for him are singing his praises now, like Wall Street. I hear it all over.

I know some stupid PhDs who voted for him because they hate Hillary, great excuse, and the lady's Obamacare covered maternity. She no longer needed it. Duh? So did her non Obamacare insurance. There are so many lies about Obamacare, and there are so many misconceptions.
Like ALL programs, there were a few bugs to resolve. It was comparatively great to what we had before. Great, in spite of the Repubs obstructing it and undermining it in full force. That's all they know how to do...destroy.

I have seen two or three come out and say they somewhat regret voting for him, but even they have not fully abandoned him, even when it appears they will be hurt by his policies. I still see the "those others who are freeloading" argument from Trump supporters. I don't expect most of his votes will see the light, they will blame Democrats and "libruls", anyone but their man.
