"But we thought you wanted to repeal Obamacare?"
Now that they have caught this car their response is to drop this turd called the AHCA.
I've already seen where my Congressman Issa won't vote for it.
The towhall, calling, and other forms of protests are working.
They are trapped now.
Damned if they vote for it and damned by their base if they don't.
They can deny the CBO report all they want but that "dog don't hunt".

(31,112 posts)of the GOP is anxious to take healthcare away from poor people so it is going to pass, for sure.
I just wish the families of the suffering and dying and soon to be homeless will react, in some way, that forces change.

(10,252 posts)Universal medicare for all collected as part of the SSI paycheck contributions. But that would mean raising the SSI caps on the wealthy, and maybe keeping the investment income surtax. Taking insurance companies completely out of the picture. Cutting defense spending too. But elected officials are beholden to corporate bribes and an Ayn Rand ideology that money and selfishness are a virture.
Too bad, so sad. So Republicans will just vote some hateful bills to continue defunding the ACA, causing insurance rates to go up and up and up. With fewer people having access to healthcare, healthcare workers will be laid off, clinics and hospitals will close. And it will all be Obama's fault as usual.
