1. People should be a little careful with her

She has a habit of smearing people that disagree with her. She gets credit for something that actually hasn't been proven and she says she can't prove. I'm as hopeful as anyone that she is legit. She was interviewed a couple days ago and she doesn't totally survive scrutiny.

I read it when it came out and needed a chart to keep up with it all. If her sources are right...

She gets swamped by trolls and threats and that's her way of cutting down on craziness from anon people.

I'm pretty sure the WH is feeding and seeding bullshit in an attempt to track down leakers while discrediting good people.

I had glanced at a couple of her stories, next day Twitter said I was blocked from even reading anything in her Twets
( but if you don't sign in, you can see the tweets).
then I started hearing more negative things about her.

Dunno...

15. There's an army of Russian trolls out there trying to discredit her

She also blocks accounts that don't have many followers.

Around July something similar happened to me when I used the hashtags #NeverTrump and #ImWithHer. I was swamped with Twitter profiles that hated the pro-Hillary news I posted-- So far I've blocked over 1000 of those accounts.

That's Andrew Neil, ex-Murdoch man (one-time editor of The Sunday Times, founding Chairman of Sky TV, etc., etc.), and inexplicably handed his own BBC shows some years ago.

He can be a, to say the least, stern interviewer, but in the British context is more prone to injecting himself and his views into stories than we're used to (sort of following the American model of news magazine front man/woman, which thankfully isn't common over here).

UK satirical/investigative magazine Private Eye nicknamed him "Brillo" for his wiry hairdo (Brillo is a UK brand of soapy scouring pad for pots and pans), and its letters pages rejoice in finding any excuse for reprinting this photo of him from years past, when he fancied himself a bit of a playboy:

More about him here, if you can bear it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Neil

Having said that, I don't think Mensch did herself many favors in that interview. As a Brit, I'm not surprised. She was a terrible MP (and bailed out before completing one term in office), and has a cocky, impulsive and frequently barkingly wrongheaded public media persona.

She's found some decent leads in these recent stories (some of which she's stumbled onto through sheer energy - she self-proclaims as having ADHD, and when she's on a manic jag, tweets and digs away incessantly, so I guess the law of averages is on her side), but I just hope she doesn't compromise aspects of the story that others are researching more methodically and less flashily.

5. Louise Mensch has been hammering this story on Twitter everyday.

Last week RT was trying to discredit her and now the Russian Embassy UK. I have been following Louise Mensch on Twitter since the election and her and @20committee are taking it to the Russians.

6. She's interesting but I'm not 100% convinced about her reliability

For instance, she says that Bannon is behind the RoguePOTUSStaff twitter account. She started saying that early on. According to them, it's because they refused to provide her with their identities (they showed her tweet asking for them, and promising to keep their identities confidential).

Now I don't know if that twitter account is really from Bannon or not, but I don't believe that declining to make their identities known to her guarantees that it is.

She also thinks that Preet Bharara's dismissal was actually a ploy and that the Trump team plans to hire him as a special investigator (and that people will think, because he was fired, he won't be on Trump's side). She offers as evidence the fact that Bharara didn't prosecute anyone when it's obvious the FBI was leaking to Giuliani last fall.

She was definitely reporting months ago about the investigation of the two Russian banks and the bank service in Trump Tower, and she explains (and retweets when others explain) information about Wikileaks being hosted by the Russians. I just wouldn't rely 100% on her (or anyone, really) right now.
