First, he is using his position and his family to increase the net worth of his businesses, including those overseas. When he thinks he has made enough (if that's possible), THEN he'll let his Republican friends bankrupt the country while enriching themselves. It worked for Dick Cheney, and Cheney got away with it. Don't think Trump is unaware of that.

His entire life he has not had one actual success before operational control was taken from him. (Except maybe for that TV show, but he didn't really run it.) While he has not learned how to run a business, he has learned how to bleed them dry and profit from bankruptcy.

He will not change with this job.
