To quote the late great Orsen Well - we will serve no wine before its time.

I don't want one big reveal but I'd like to see the drips have enough substance to not evaporate between the faucet and the sink.

I completely agree with that in the "snowflake" analogy where all us little snowflakes, when taken together, can be a hell of a blizzard (as we're learning on the east coast tonight).

The drips that are so small that they evaporate...to me, those just increase the humidity in the room a little. Not enough to really create a rain storm.

But - I guess if this is all we get one day at a time, we'll just need more days to put this presidency into the history books sooner vs. later.

and allows more people to poke into corners than just MSM reporters.

AND allows for HUGE numbers of folks getting the information.

Back then, Nixon inadvertently called attention to himself by trying to hush up the newspapers. Not the tv, but the papers.
And Ben Bradlee made his paper, the Washington Post, and himself famous for refusing to be intimidated.

There was a burglary at the DNC in June of 1972, which was interesting but not earth-shattering... until the Washington Post and other sources started to learn who the burglars were and where they got their money. It all started to snowball after the Saturday Night Massacre in October of 1973 but there was almost a year and a half of investigations and prosecutions of the burglars before the entire, very complicated plot unravelled. I think that because of the Internet and Twitter and all this newfangled stuff that brings us the news almost instantly, we now expect everything to be done and wrapped up in a short time. And figuring out what Trump has been up to might not take as long as Watergate, but I don't expect it to be all figured out in a short time.

Patience, Grasshopper.

Yes, I also.. remember June of 1972..

and your words..."... we now expect everything to be done and wrapped up in a short time. And figuring out what Trump has been up to might not take as long as Watergate, but I don't expect it to be all figured out in a short time".............are very important....

This will take time, and a whole lot of effort to get at the roots of it all. It may look simple, but it is not..and all of Trumps actions...all...are aimed at covering up the real connections. ...

What I remember most clearly..was John Dean's testimony ...and asking myself (as almost all did) is there any proof to back up what he has said?..and there was..

And I believe there is plenty of proof on Drumpf...but that will take time and effort because it has been covered up too.. Perhaps it has been destroyed. Hopefully not, but we will see...Let us hope for the best

Maybe having been around during Watergate, and having been old enough to understand what was going on, has given me more patience. The rapid pace of news as a result of cable TV and the Internet has given people short attention spans and the expectation that everything gets wrapped up before the late news, like prime time TV. Whatever mess Trump is in the middle of will not be figured out quickly. The tax return story is only a little teeny piece of a very big puzzle. There's a whole lot more out there, and at some point it will fit together, but it won't be tomorrow.

we can do it

Too many Duers thought tonight would blow the orange one out of the water. That is NOT how journalists work.....they work for hours on end...one clue here, another clue here, etc I lived through the Watergate investigation...it did NOT happen overnight. I am completely disgusted with the DUers who ragged on and on about Rachel tonight. They make me sick....they have no understanding AT ALL about the journey of investigative journalists of which Rachel is one of the best.

The difference then was that the Dems controlled the Congress. . . . so it's harder now to feel hopeful.
